KEMS 2024 Subscription Service
Why should you subscribe?
Since 2018, the Kennebunkport EMS subscription program has reduced out-of- pocket costs in the event of a medical emergency requiring emergency medical transportation to a local hospital. Residents and businesses within our service area have been eligible for this program. This subscription helps to fund our payroll, equipment needs and educational programs. We are again offering this program for the calendar year 2024.
The average cost of an ambulance transport is $2,500. Thus, a subscription can provide a tremendous savings. Annual membership covers medical procedures, medicines and mileage required during emergency transport services.
If there is a balance on your ambulance bill after we receive the insurance reimbursement, active participants in the subscription will have their remaining balance waived.
Once your insurance is applied toward your deductible, KEMS will cover the remaining portion that is normally the patient’s responsibility.
Our payroll costs continue to rise but, we have not increased your subscription membership fees for 2024. We are very proud of our ambulance A-1 and the crew that is aboard the ambulance on a 24/7 schedule.
