Extraordinary Care & Public Service

KEMS is a private, not-for-profit emergency medical service for the residents and visitors in the Town of Kennebunkport. KEMS also provides mutual aid to Kennebunk, Wells, Biddeford, Arundel, and Saco.

KEMS receives an annual appropriation from the Town of Kennebunkport and relies on private support to achieve 60 percent of its operational budget. The core KEMS EMT team is composed of experienced emergency medical personnel who attend school, work, and live in the community.

When you place a 911 call to KEMS, the response typically includes a team with over 65 years of professional experience – ambulance drivers, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics.

Working hand-in-hand with Kennebunkport Fire and Kennebunkport Police, KEMS strives to treat all who fall under their care with the same dignity, respect, and understanding that you equate with “family.”
